Learning Edge Health & Learning Center
Individualized, play-based support that helps children understand and respond to sensory input so they can participate more comfortably in play, learning, self-care, and family routines.
Some children experience sights, sounds, touch, movement, or body sensations more strongly or less clearly than others. Our team begins with observation and assessment, then plans purposeful sensory and movement activities around the child's individual profile, daily challenges, strengths, and goals.
Individual Sensory ProfileWe consider how the child responds to touch, sound, movement, visual input, body awareness, and everyday environments.
Purposeful Sensory ActivitiesTherapist-led play may include movement, balance, resistance, tactile exploration, and calming activities selected for specific functional goals.
Self-Regulation SkillsChildren practice noticing their needs and using developmentally appropriate strategies to become calm, alert, and ready to participate.
